South West London Lettings Update

Last month, the TLRE News page was pleased to report two lettings in SE London, so it is only right and correct that we should focus on SW London for the moment and confirm two lettings here. We don’t want our SW London clients to think we have neglected them!

TLRE have happily secured an open storage letting at Mortlake Brewery to a grade A covenant on flexible lease terms. It is unusual to agree terms, for open storage, to such a covenant but the TLRE team, using their contacts, knowledge and experience were able to successfully identify a suitable tenant and thereafter to negotiate and agree terms.

The second recent SW London letting was at Chessington Park Industrial Estate. After only 2 weeks of being instructed TLRE were pleased to formally put Unit 9 Chessington Park under offer. The unit was fully refurbished along with Unit 10 and this is now the final available unit on the scheme ( 6,899 sq ft).

It is interesting to note that in the Chessington example, the occupier was seeking accommodation to service the local population as part of the “last mile” to the end user or customer. We have noted a marked increased in market activity in this sector. In relation to the open storage letting, this was to an occupier looking to service their existing smaller premises closer into Central London, but to store a wider range of goods and be able to deliver to central location in a short timeframe.

Please contact the TLRE team if you have an upcoming void, or an empty unit that needs proactive marketing by experienced specialist industrial agents who know the active tenants in the market.

October 2021.
