Gatwick International Distribution Centre (GIDC) has had a great start to 2024. Unit 8 and Unit 13 have both been let, showing occupier demand for good quality space is continuing and a continuing flight to quality to GIDC. It has been noted by many commentators that occupiers are willing to move their logistics or warehouse operations to schemes which offer high quality, sustainable, safe and accessible premises and GIDC is an example of this trend.
The recently let units also highlights the scheme flexibility as Unit 8 and 13 were the smallest and largest units available to let. Unit 8 was approximately 2,562 sq ft whilst unit 13 was 19,773 sq ft.
We are also under offer on a further two units: 26 and 27, two of the mid range units leaving unit 3 and 4; 7,508 and 7,495 sq ft respectively, or taken together (they are adjacent units) 15,003 sq ft available. Unit 18 which is a prominent corner unit at the entrance to the scheme offers 5,244 sq ft will be available soon and would be of interest to trade counter occupiers.
